Too honest: Last Thursday, the Curial prelates Cardinal Raymond Burke and Archbishop Guido Pozzo attended a book launch at the Angelicum in Rome together with the Vatican journalist Sandro Magister. Magister did not shy away from the problems of the current pontificate. In his presentation, he criticized the Pope’s crackdown on the old liturgy and the Franciscans of the Immaculate, the absence of genuflections in Francis’ Masses and the fact that the controversial liturgy of the Neocatechumenal Way is not under scrutiny any more - as Benedict XVI. had wished. According to Magister the pope is nice to all - except to faithful Catholics. Magister's honesty was too much for the two prelates. They got up and left.

The agitation against the Limburg bishop continues
Germany. The hunt of the German media - particularly of spiegel.de - against the bishop of Limburg, Germany, continues. Now, the biased reporting of spiegel.de is even too much for its users who speak of a one-sided focus. The anticlerical Spiegel has Nazi and SS roots. Its online users praise the beautiful architecture of the new diocesan buildings in Limburg for which the bishop is accused of excess. One writes: "This incident takes more space in spiegel.de than do the NSA and euro crisis together. What’s wrong? The bishop has at least good taste! "

The house is on fire: According to press reports, Sister Regina Gegic and another nun were staying in an older, mostly unused residential building at the St. Joseph Hill Academy, New York on Saturday morning at 5:30 a.m. when she saw fire in the house. Sister got trapped upstairs and was forced to leap from the second floor. She broke three vertebrae from her jump but could move her feet and is now being treated at Staten Island University Hospital’s intensive-care unit. The police suspect that the fire was a hate-crime.

Despicable: Robert Geltzer is the trustee in the bankruptcy case of a Staten Island couple who made tuition payments for their children to two Catholic schools in New York state. Geltzer is trying to squeeze roughly $45,000 from the schools. He argues that a private school was not reasonably “necessary” and was paid “in blithe disregard of their own insolvency.” Public schools would have been free, he notes. Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League, counters: “Selectively choosing Catholic schools to shake them down is despicable.”

Magister has the reputation of being fair and accurate. There's little doubt that some of his comments have offended the faithful.

Maybe the prelates were scheduled to visit some lonely old people...in the curia?
It was to be expected. The boss gets criticized so the underlings walked out to express their disapproval.

One bishop is attacked. What do you think the other bishops do?
Will they help him? Will they not only speak about love but actually live it? Will they help their confrere who is in dire straits?
It is all so sad.More

Burke and Pozzo Must know there IS some truth to what Magister is saying here. How could they not?

I think the comments mentioned in this news video by Sandro Magister are spot on!
I know a very many Catholics that are not only confused by The Pope's actions, but are also concerned, to the point of scandal. Even CNN is running a program on the 1st 6 months of his pontificate. Heralding the new Pope....Perhaps Cardinal Raymond Burke and Archbishop Guido Pozzo may want to consider, that there is AT LEAST a Kernnel of truth in the comments by Sandro Magister.

Pray for the Pope and the entire Holy Catholic Church
