CNA on July 2, 2009 The devotion to the Sacred Heart (also known as the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus) is one of the most widely practiced and well-known Roman Catholic devotions, taking Jesus Christ's physical heart as the representation of his divine love for humanity.
This devotion is predominantly used in the Catholic Church and among some high-church Anglicans and Lutherans. The devotion especially emphasizes the unmitigated love, compassion, and long-suffering of the heart of Christ towards humanity. The origin of this devotion in its modern form is derived from a Roman Catholic nun from France, Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, who said she learned the devotion from Jesus during a series of apparitions which occurred between 1673 and 1675,[1] and later, in the 19th century, from the mystical revelations of another Roman Catholic nun, in Portugal, Blessed Mary of the Divine Heart, the countess Droste zu Vischering and religious of the Good Shepherd …More

Inconceivable Love of My Divine Heart for the people.
My bleeding heart that forgives!
My bleeding heart that forgets!
My bleeding heart that justifies!
My bleeding heart that begs!
My painful heart that so much is złaknione and thirsty for love!

Blessed be the Most Loving Heart and Sweet Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the most glorious Virgin Mary, His Mother, in eternity and forever. Amen.

From the depth of my nothingness, I prostrate myself before Thee, O Most Sacred, Divine and Adorable Heart of Jesus, to pay Thee all the homage of love, praise and adoration in my power.
Amen. - - St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
The prayer of the Church venerates and honors the Heart of Jesus just as it invokes his most holy name. It adores the incarnate Word and his Heart which, out of love for men, he allowed to be pierced by our sins. Christian prayer loves to follow the way of the cross in the Savior's steps.-- From the Catechism. P: 2669

June is the Month of the Sacred Heart and yet I hear nothing about it except on the actual Feast day but what about the act of consecration and reparation and other prayers to the Divine Heart They do mention the first Saturday Devotion. St John XXIII was very devoted to this Devotion.

My Heart is your sanctuary. There's my prisoner is my little baby. From My open side flowed blood streams, the streams of love and forgiveness. Each man received this his part. I reached down to the furthest depths of their dusz.Niezrównanym, a mysterious fire to himself I drew the crowds. Many of their lives paid for this manna love.
Others with cowardice denied me.

Moje Serce jest twoim sanktuarium. Tam Moim więźniem jest Moje małe dziecko. Z Mojego otwartego boku płynęły strumienie krwi, strumienie miłości i przebaczenia. Każdy człowiek otrzymał z tego swoją część. Dotarlem aż do najdalszych głębin ich dusz.Niezrównanym, tajemniczym ogniem przyciągnąłem do Siebie tłumy. Wielu życiem swoim zapłaciło za tę mannę miłości.

The devotion to the Sacred Heart (also known as the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus) is one of the most widely practiced and well-known Roman Catholic devotions, taking Jesus Christ's physical heart as the representation of his divine love for humanity.
This devotion is predominantly used in the Catholic Church and among some high-church Anglicans and Lutherans. The devotion especially emphasizes the unmitigated love, compassion, and long-suffering of the heart of Christ towards humanity. The origin of this devotion in its modern form is derived from a Roman Catholic nun from France, Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, who said she learned the devotion from Jesus during a series of apparitions which occurred between 1673 and 1675,[1] and later, in the 19th century, from the mystical revelations of another Roman Catholic nun, in Portugal, Blessed Mary of the Divine Heart, the countess Droste zu Vischering and religious of the Good Shepherd who requested, in the name of Christ Himself, that Pope Leo XIII consecrate the entire world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Predecessors to the modern devotion arose unmistakably in the Middle Ages in various facets of Catholic mysticism.[2]
In the Roman Catholic tradition, the Sacred Heart has been closely associated with Acts of Reparation to Jesus Christ. In his encyclical Miserentissimus Redemptor, Pope Pius XI stated: "the spirit of expiation or reparation has always had the first and foremost place in the worship given to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus".[3] The Golden Arrow Prayer directly refers to the Sacred Heart.
Devotion to the Sacred Heart is sometimes seen in the Eastern Catholic Churches, where it remains a point of controversy and is seen as an example of Liturgical Latinisation.
The Sacred Heart is often depicted in Christian art as a flaming heart shining with divine light, pierced by the lance-wound, encircled by the crown of thorns, surmounted by a cross, and bleeding. Sometimes the image is shown shining within the bosom of Christ with his wounded hands pointing at the heart. The wounds and crown of thorns allude to the manner of Jesus' death, while the fire represents the transformative power of divine love.
The Feast of the Sacred Heart has been in the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar since 1856, and is celebrated 19 days after Pentecost. As Pentecost is always celebrated on Sunday, the Feast of the Sacred Heart always falls on a Friday.
