The accession of Pope Leo XIV to the papal throne has resulted in a victory lap around St Peter’s Square by the modernists. They have won hands down and they know it. The prospect of at least 20 years of Pope Leo is sufficient to knock the stuffing out of any conservative backlash or counter revolution.

An elderly woman was standing in the checkout line at a grocery store, patiently waiting while the cashier scanned her items. Behind her was a boy who looked about ten years old, pushing a shopping cart. Every few seconds, he rammed the cart straight into the back of her legs. Once. Twice. Then again.

The ancient traditions for prayer and contemplation have been passed from generation to generation and are still of grave importance today. Prayers for the Earth are recitations of love and reflection, they can be said alone or in a group. They are powerful, they nurture the soul, fuel the heart, and uplift the spirit. We often focus on human needs: the sick, isolated, aged, imprisoned, and those in peril. Adding our devotion and respect for God's plan revealed on Earth may be prudent.

Today, Pope Leo XIV has accepted the resignation of Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, 92, as Dean of the College of Cardinals.
He approved the election of Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle as the new Dean of the College of Cardinals. Cardinal Tagle is Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization.
Nicknamed “Chito,” the sentimal prelate is known for singing and crying in public. He has wept during liturgies, promotions and talks.
In 2015, Tagle condemned the Church's use of “harsh language” toward homosexual, claiming it had contributed to their alleged isolation. In 2017, he participated in an Easter campaign promoting greater acceptance of marginalized people, including homosexuals.

I started this blog for some lofty reasons, submitted for your approval here. As a super busy guy who hates social media, but can't seem to avoid it, I began writing articles for this blog to avoid scrolling. Writing articles works great to avoid scrolling! But in 2025 I began publishing KRUNK comics again. So, now, to avoid scrolling, I write and draw KRUNK comics. But there are a few instances where I can't make KRUNK comics in my free time. So, now, that's where this blog comes in.
I have at least two other reviews slated for the future. One is a review of a comic from Voyage comics that has a few long tangents, intentionally built in. The other is a review of Know Your Mass, which requires references to do it justice. And it deserves justice, believe me.

Walking with pride, faith, and community! On Saturday, October 3, members of our LGBTQ+ Ministry joined Durham Pride and walked the two-mile route along Main, Broad, and Ninth streets. We were especially grateful to hear our ministry recognized during the Pride livestream: The LGBTQ+ Ministry at St. Francis of Assisi is the longest-serving Catholic LGBTQ+ ministry in the Triangle. Founded in 1999, the ministry has been participating in Pride in Durham since the early 2000s. We’re proud of this long history of presence, welcome, and solidarity, and we’re grateful to everyone who walked, celebrated, and shared in the day with us.
