Secretary of Peruvian Bishops’ Conference Steps Down After Homosexual Abuse Allegations

Bishop Antonio Santarsiero Rosa of Huacho has stepped down as secretary general of the Peruvian bishops’ conference. The move follows homosexual abuse accusations published by InfoVaticana.com. Two independent witnesses accused the bishop of homosexual and psychological misconduct.
In a statement posted on X on 9 April, the bishops’ conference said that, in light of the report, Bishop Santarsiero had requested to step aside.
He described this as “an act of responsibility towards the institutional mission, in order to dedicate himself to clarifying the truth.”
Bishop Santarsiero added that he “categorically” denies the allegations.
The statement from the Peruvian bishops’ conference promised “all necessary efforts to clarify the accusations, acting in accordance with established protocols and current legislation, both canonical and civil.”

The Royal Navy is dead to begin with – Allah's Willing Executioners

by Silvio Canto, Jr.
Leave it to Charles Dickens to describe the state of the UK Navy:
Dead as a door nail. That’s about it.
UK PM Starmer is going through difficult times. They call him an “utter disgrace” because some of his constituents aren’t happy with his response to the Iran War:
Keir Starmer was torn apart by a former advisor to NATO, who condemned his recent actions regarding the conflict in the Middle East. Gwythian Prins, also a former adviser to NATO, the UN, and British Chiefs of the Defence Staff, called out the prime minister for destroying the UK’s relationship with the US, going as far to describe his behaviour as ‘traitorous’ in a furious rant.
The criticism is fair and NATO may not survive. The state of the UK Navy is more permanent and nothing to cheer about. In other words, the once mighty UK Navy is now nothing but a small collection of ships, and there is nothing royal about it. Let’s check this out:
2026 has been a horrible year for Britain’s Royal Navy, …

Do You Truly Believe What God Said?
The disciples on the road to Emmaus failed to recognize Jesus because they were expecting a different kind of Messiah. They were focused on their own desires and expectations, rather than accepting God’s will as revealed in the scriptures. True belief in Jesus requires accepting His teachings and recognizing His presence in the Eucharist, making Him the center of our lives.

Vatican Responds to Reports on January Pentagon Meeting

Today, the Vatican press speaker Matteo Bruni published a statement addressing recent media reports about a January meeting between Pentagon officials and then US Nuncio Christophe Cardinal Pierre.
Bruni claims that the portrayal of the meeting in certain media “does not correspond to the truth in any way."
He emphasized that the meeting was routine and part of the nuncio’s regular diplomatic responsibilities.
Cardinal Pierre’s discussion with Elbridge Andrew Colby at the Pentagon was simply "an opportunity to exchange views on matters of mutual interest".
The Vatican Press Office is not known for telling the truth.
The Substack.com-account The Pillar reported on April 10 that the January meeting was "tense at times, characterizing some exchanges as aggressive", yet without threats.

Since when does the Papal Nuncio meet “regularly” with a third-tier underling in the Defense Department of a major power? When did high ranking Vatican envoys start holding regularly scheduled “exchange opportunities” with governmental lackeys…particularly military ones?

Sequins and the Farandole Dancers

by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
– Folha de S. Paulo, June 21, 1978 -
There are both realistic and folkloric views of the United States. Undoubtedly, these views do not contrast on all points, but above all, they do not align with each other on everything.
The folkloric view seems composed of sequins floating on the broad avenues of the cities of Babel. Tourists see these sequins and believe that the whole of American reality, even its deepest layers, is authentically reflected in them. Returning to their homelands, they take this image with them and spread it.
In turn, this image attracts tourists to the US who appreciate folklore and sequins. Once they arrive in America’s Babel-like cities, they set out to find “souvenirs” to bring back to their relatives and friends. Naturally, these “souvenirs” feature sequins and the inevitable tourist exaggerations.
In a highly commercialized society such as the American one, demand immediately awa kens supply. If tourists seek images of sequins …Dabalata

Cardinal Francis Arinze, 93, spoke to PerMariam.com about the serious damage being caused to the sacred liturgy: "If a priest introduces parts of the Mass that are not approved, or removes parts that are, he causes damage to the Church. Even if his intentions were good, perhaps he thought, 'I want to make the Mass more interesting. I want to make it more personalised' – that's a mistake. He is wrong."

EXCLUSIVE Cardinal Arinze: Manner of celebrating the liturgy ‘shows what we believe’

VATICAN CITY (PerMariam) — Cardinal Arinze has highlighted the great need for reverence in the liturgy, warning that if priests invent new or unlawful aspects of the Mass themselves then they “damage” the Church.
The Church’s liturgical life is intimately linked to the practice of the faith, as summarized by the phrase “lex orandi, lex credendi” – the law of faith is the law of belief. For Francis Cardinal Arinze, former prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, this element is key, since a Mass which is poorly celebrated with irreverence, abuses or personal whims can turn people away from the Catholic faith.

Arinze, consecrated at the age of 32 to become the world’s youngest bishop at the time, has a storied career as a diocesan bishop in his native Nigeria, before being brought to the Vatican in 1984 for a long and distinguished service in the Roman Curia.

Fr. Ripperger explains to Tucker Carlson that communists mirror the methods of demons - LifeSite

Thu Apr 9, 2026 - 6:45 pm EDTFri Apr 10, 2026 - 5:53 am EDT
(
LifeSiteNews) — Exorcist Father Chad Ripperger told Tucker Carlson that communists operate the same way demons do.
In a nearly two-hour interview released Friday, Ripperger told Carlson he has observed that the methods of demons and communists closely mirror each other, something he has expounded on in a video series.
“When you strip the veneer away of one being political and the other being spiritual, the patterns of thinking are exactly the same,” Ripperger said.
“The demons always present temptation as this pie-in-the-sky thing that you’re gonna get, and you’re going to get this pleasure and joy and everything’s going to turn out right,” the exorcist noted.
“But then once you give into the temptation, from there they take you down. It’s the exact same thing in communism.”
Communism, too, provides a beautiful, idealistic vision about what it will provide. “You’re never gonna have to worry. The government’s gonna provide …

“The liturgy is not a flag”: the abbot of Fontgombault points to abuses and ideologies as the root of the crisis

The current liturgical crisis in the Church cannot be understood without taking into account the abuses, the silences, and certain ideological readings that have marked the last decades. This is what the abbot of Fontgombault, Dom Jean Pateau, states in an interview granted to Silere Non Possum, in which he reflects on the origin of the tensions and points to the need for real reconciliation.
His words are framed in a moment when Pope Leo XIV has called to reduce the confrontation around the liturgy and to favor greater understanding between sensitivities.
Abuses and silences that have fueled the tension
Referring especially to the French case, the abbot acknowledges that liturgical abuses have occurred for years and that there has not always been an adequate response from the authorities. That combination, along with other factors such as shortcomings in catechetical formation, has contributed to generating distrust and alienation among some faithful.
As he explains, this situation …

V.R.S.

Oh, the Liturgy is the very banner of the Catholic Faith. As Pius XI says (Divini Cultus, 1928, Denz. 2200):
"the liturgy is an undoubtedly sacred thing; for, through it we are brought to God and are joined with Him; we bear witness to our faith, and we are obligated to it by a most serious duty because of the benefits and helps received, of which we are always in need. Hence a kind of intimate relationship between dogma and sacred liturgy, and likewise between Christian worship and the sanctification of the people. Therefore, Celestine I proposed and expressed a canon of faith in the venerated formulas of the Liturgy: "Let the law of supplication establish the law of believing. For when the leaders of holy peoples administer legislation enjoined upon themselves they plead the cause of the human race before divine Clemency, and they beg and pray while the entire Church sighs with them"

Lionel Leslie Andrades

The abbot of Fontgombault, Dom Jean Pateau interprets the baptism of desire irrationally. In the 16th century France, they interpreted the baptism of desire rationally.
So today the Athanasius Creed has visible exceptions of the baptism of desire for the abbot, but in 16th century France, at the TLM, there were no visible exceptions for the Athanasius Creed.
The interpretation of the dogma EENS, has exceptions for the Aboot but this was not the problem at Mass over the centuries. So the Mass offered by the Abbot is not theologically the same as that in the 16th century for example. He can correct the error by simply interpretating Vatican Council II rationally and so traditionally and not like the French Conference of Bishops.
