Irish bishop backs cancellation of country singer’s concert in Catholic church. Irish Bishop Kevin Doran of Achonry and Elphin has backed the cancellation of a Christmas concert by country singer Nathan Carter inside St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyle. He explained that churches are sacred spaces, not concert venues or “disco settings”: “The important thing is to preserve the nature of the church and the sanctuary as a sacred space,” he said. The December 13 concert had been approved by a previous parish priest. Tickets were already on sale. Then, the new parish priest cancelled the event after taking charge of the parish this autumn. The Diocese has rules governing concerts in churches. Music need not be strictly liturgical, but it should be spiritual in character and compatible with the sacred nature of the building. Carter whined he was “extremely disappointed” by the cancellation. #newsZipxsameec
“Quietly, rumors in Rome have suggested that a handful of would-be papal appointments, including a leading candidate for Gambetti’s former job, have actually cried off when asked to serve at the Vatican top table.”
Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago said advocating for immigrants is an “act of divine worship” that “belongs to every single disciple of Jesus.” Speaking at Chicago’s “City of Welcome” event, he condemned “inhumane immigration enforcement” and opposed “indiscriminate mass deportation.” Cupich explicitly invoked “undocumented workers,” saying Christ is encountered in illegal immigrants.
Ecco perché io "non sono cristiano" (formula usata in Italia, dal miglior Clero, già nel 2018): non rendo culto a Dio

Bishop James Beckman of Knoxville, Tennessee, has revoked the faculties of Fr David Mary Engo who has associated himself with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX), “He is not authorized to exercise public priestly ministry anywhere within the Diocese of Knoxville.” David Mary Engo was ordained a priest in 1997 by then-Bishop Seán P. O’Malley of Fall River, the future Cardinal of Boston. His religious and community status has a somewhat complicated history. He was incardinated into the Diocese of Fort Wayne–South Bend in 2010, while simultaneously being excardinated from the Diocese of Fall River, Massachusetts. Engo founded a Franciscan community in 2009, professed perpetual vows, and served as the community’s Minister General. In May 2017, he resigned as Minister General and withdrew to a hermitage. By 2021, Engo was described by the Diocese of Knoxville’s newspaper as a Franciscan hermit living in the Diocese of Helena, Montana. Engo subsequently ministered in the Diocese of …ఇంకా
Montagna said Leo had demonstrated that he was capable of overturning decisions made by Francis, but noted that the reversals so far had largely concerned administrative and financial matters. Montagna then asked whether the Pope would be prepared to make changes in areas she considered substantially more important. “Does Pope Leo have the light, the will, and the courage” to reverse the “draconian restrictions” imposed on the traditional liturgy through Traditionis Custodes and the “ongoing revolution” of the Synod on Synodality, she asked.
Leo XIV only reversed Francis' course on financial or administrative matters, not on matters much more important, such as liturgy or faith,' said Diane Montagna at the CIC.
The therapist looked at her carefully and said, “For just a moment, imagine that everything you complain about most suddenly disappeared from your life. Completely. No warning. It’s simply gone.” He paused, then continued. “You say, ‘I can’t handle these kids anymore.’ All right. Imagine waking up tomorrow and there are no children in your life. You say, ‘I hate my hair.’ Imagine you no longer have any. You say, ‘My job drives me crazy.’ Now imagine you’ve lost it and don’t know when the next paycheck is coming. You say, ‘My husband gets on my nerves.’ Imagine that tomorrow you are living without him. You complain about the heat. Imagine weeks of cold rain, icy wind, and gray skies instead. You say, ‘My house is always a mess.’ Imagine having no home at all.” Then he looked at her and asked quietly, “What do you feel when you picture those things being gone?” The woman said nothing. “You see,” he continued gently, “life is not shaped only by what happens to us. Much of our experience …ఇంకా
Speaking at the Catholic Identity Conference in Pittsburgh on 3 October, Pentin said Leo “largely continues the post-conciliar revolution”, portraying the pontificate as one of continuity with Francis despite a noticeably different tone. “Pope Leo… is very much a continuity figure, continuing the post-conciliar course mapped out by Pope Francis,” Pentin said. Pentin acknowledged that Leo’s manner represented an improvement, but argued that the changes made so far were “largely symbolic and small scale”. Pentin also said he had “often heard in recent months in Rome” that people close to Leo “helped him get elected precisely so he might continue the revolution”.
Edward Pentin on Leo XIV at the CIC conference: Leo XIV continues Francis's work with a better style.
Edward Pentin questiones whether Pope Leo XIV will reverse major elements of Pope Francis’s legacy
Edward Pentin: A respected priest in Rome "was incredulous that certain Vatican cardinals who will remain nameless are still in positions of authority."
"It would serve the Pope very well if he laid out in just plain simple terms, yes or no: am I going to continue Pope Francis’s restrictive policies or am I going to return to what Pope Benedict and John Paul II before him did, and to give the reasons for it?", said New York priest Fr. Gerald Murray on October 2 about Leo XIV’s course on the traditional Latin Mass. The canon lawyer was also commenting on a proposal by a Vatican synodal commission to completely revise Canon Law. Murray argues that governance is a gift given by Christ to the apostles and passed to the bishops. Regarding the extension of governance to the laity, he issues a warning: "We’re heading towards Episcopalianism, where lay people actually exercise a governing role in the Anglican Church."
Leo XIV should disclose - yes or no - if he is following Francis' way or not.
Bishop Donald Lippert, missionary Bishop of Mendi in Papua New Guinea, warns that the missionary crisis has now come home: “The West is missionary territory again.” And, more provocatively: “The Church is missionary territory again.” Bishop warns the Church to substitute dialogue and social work for evangelization: “Presence without proclamation eventually becomes humanitarianism or NGOism.”
Missionary Bishop at the CIC 2026: The West is missionary territory. More precise: The Church is missionary territory.
Jane Allen was suffering from anorexia. She traveled to Colorado seeking treatment. Instead, her doctor offered assisted suicide — a prescription for death. Her father intervened just in time. Jane began to heal — eating again, tapering off morphine. The anorexia clinic dropped her, calling her a “liability.” When Jane chose life, her doctors walked away. Assisted suicide isn’t healthcare. It’s preying on the sick and vulnerable.
Yes, communism which NON Russians brought to the people and killed tens of millions of CATHOLICS AND ORTHODOX. Some people ought to take out all the hate from their hearts and their lying and get rid of the ignorance they speak. What was Sister Lucia concerned about? communism. What does the Church teach? communism is a sin and evil. Who did the Saintly Popes reach out to? The Russian Orthodox. Who did the Russian Orthodox reach out to? Saintly Popes. That's what you call a follower. Always wants to be part of the crowd and fit in. With a weak mind who can't think, for themselves and to avoid problems with them. That's a real pity. The only time you would ever see me following anyone was when I couldn't talk my friends out of something. So I would go to watch over them to try and stop any problems or protecting them. A friend of over 60 years just mentioned that to me last night in an email.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin told journalists in Rome today that he does not know when or how the excommunications of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) will take place. “Despite this serious wound I hope that we can find ways to resolve this problem.” He also said that he was "deeply pained" by today's episcopal ordinations: "It is a schismatic act."
