Today, Leo XIV has appointed Monsignor Michael Router, 61, as Bishop of Derry, Ireland. He was ordained a priest in 1989 for the Diocese of Kilmore and has served as Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh since 2019. Francis Was "Commited to Gospel" In April 2025, Bishop Router wrote a warm statement on Francis's death. He described the late pope as a spiritual and inspirational leader who guided the faithful over twelve years with humility, compassion, and commitment to the Gospel. He also said Francis embodied simplicity and service from his earliest days as priest and bishop. Demanding Irish Houses for Immigrants On [Muslim] immigrants, in a January 2020 statement, Bishop Router urged Ireland, as the country of "a thousand welcomes," to consider with compassion its responsibility to welcome the stranger. The Irish should meet the housing needs of immigrants, he demanded. Praise For and From the Wrong Faction In January 2025, the US Episcopal woman bishop Marianne Edgar Budde attacked Donald …More
Last weekend, Archbishop Luc Terlinden of Mechelen-Brussels, Belgium, attended the General Synod of the Anglican Church of England in York. He was there to find out more about how synodality is practised there. "It functions like a parliament. That fits with the long English tradition. There is a chair and a secretary. Sitting beside them is a lawyer wearing one of those traditional wigs", he told Nd.nl on 15 July. "We are asking ourselves how synodality - the participation of all the faithful - relates to the collegiality of the bishops. As a bishop, I am convinced that a balance must be found between these two realities." Bishop Terlinden added that the bishop or the Pope always has the final say, which makes sense to him: "At the same time, I very much identify with the words that Pope Leo XIV recently addressed to the cardinals: 'I must listen before I lead and learn before I teach.'" Cardinal Burke: “If the Conciliar Fathers, as they did after the Mass of October 24, 1967 during the Synod of Bishops, had had to vote on the project of the 1969 Missal (New Mass), it is by no means certain that a majority would have voted in favor”
"It is obviously possible to be fully Catholic while living the sacramental life according to the books of 1962. It is absolutely unacceptable to affirm the contrary", Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke told the organisers of the Chartres pilgrimage ‘Notre-Dame de Chrétienté’ in a July 14 YouTube.com video. And: "The liturgy according to the usus antiquior of the Roman Rite is an inestimable treasure of the Church which must be preserved and cherished because it is intimately linked to the very identity of the Roman Catholic Church." Cardinal Burke argued that the Roman rite has proven to be a powerful instrument of evangelization: “It is evident that this liturgy is missionary," he said. "This is seen by its fruits today as in centuries past, because it attracts through its sense of the sacred and transcendence." He added that this is "particularly evident with the younger generation," which he said has "a profound hunger for the spiritual in an increasingly horizontal world." Vatican II …More
Thanks Jannet. You explained very well a novus ordo catholic type of Bergoglian-Pervost sin-o-dal church. Bergoglio who once said:"No Catholic Mass near you? Just go to Anglicans."

Cardinal Müller said "manus" instead of "munus. Müller was supposed to say: “Da, quæsumus, omnipotens Pater, in hos famulos tuos Presbyterii dignitatem; innova in visceribus eorum Spiritum sanctitatis, ut acceptum a Te, Deus, secundi meriti munus obtineant, censuramque morum exemplo suæ conversationis insinuent.” (“Grant, we beseech Thee, Almighty Father, invest these Thy servants with the dignity of the Priesthood; do Thou renew in their hearts the spirit of holiness, so that they may persevere in this office, which is next to ours in dignity, since they have received it from Thee, O God. May the example of their lives lead others to moral uprightness.”) Instead, Müller actually said: “Da, quæsumus, omnipotens Pater, in hos famulos tuos Presbyterii dignitatem; innova in visceribus eorum Spiritum sanctitatis, ut acceptum a Te, Deus, secundi meriti manus obtineant, censuramque morum exemplo suæ conversationis insinuent.” (“Grant, we beseech Thee, Almighty Father, invest these Thy servants …More
No i trzeba będzie warunkowo powtórzyć. Nie trzeba zastanawiać się na poziomie kanonistów - ważne czy nieważne. Wystarczy przeczytać Sacramentum Ordinis. Forma to forma.
Leo XIV shares a meal with the most vulnerable: "We hunger for a Church that welcomes everyone"
Speaking off-the-cuff at lunch with 200 poor people from the Diocese of Rome, and welcoming them to the Pontifical gardens of Castel Gandolfo, Pope Leo XIV says: “I didn’t prepare a speech because I am hungry. I’m hungry for justice, I’m hungry for authentic charity, I’m hungry for a Church that knows how to opens its doors, welcomes and looks after everyone.”

Benedict XVI's former secretary Georg Ganswein has spoken out on the restrictions imposed on the Latin Mass under Traditionis Custodes, saying that the time has come 'to lift those restrictions and move beyond the setback represented by that text'
Archbishop Georg Gänswein hopes the restrictions on the Mass in the Roman rite will be lifted, he told Il Giornale on July 7. Looking back to Benedict XVI's 2007 Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, Monsignor Gänswein said the Pope wanted to restore “full rights to a rite that had never been abolished”: “His goal was to give it its rightful place again within the Church and to restore peace in the Church's liturgical life.” According to Archbishop Gänswein, Summorum Pontificum was not conceived as a step toward reconciliation with the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X. Rather, “it was directed toward the Church itself.” Benedict XVI was pleased with the results of this reform. “It was beginning to bear fruit. It worked especially well among young people, and this is evident above all in the steadily growing numbers participating each year in the Paris-to-Chartres pilgrimage.” Monsignor Gänswein added that these young people are not opposed to the Second Vatican Council: “Anyone who …More
If you want to receive Holy Communion while happily living in sin with your partner, that’s not a problem for the Vatican, as long as it’s not at an SSPX Mass…."
Catholics may not knowingly take part in the liturgical celebrations, apostolates, or other activities of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, Archbishop Shawn McKnight of Kansas City, Kansas, wrote in a July 2 statement following the episcopal consecrations. McKnight noted that the SSPX's ministry "is not legitimate in the life of the Church" and that "the sacraments of Penance and Matrimony administered by them are now invalid." Participation in the worship of the "schismatic" community fosters separation from the Church's communion, he added: "Such participation is not merely discouraged but is gravely contrary to the unity of the Church and, when undertaken with full knowledge and deliberate consent, is sinful." #newsAetnoekkoi

Benedict XVI's Secretary Abp. Georg Gänswein: "The hardliners prevailed in the SSPX. But Rome should display flexibility on the Latin Mass: Francis made a mistake on Traditionis Custodes, a wrong decision that must be corrected"
On 2 July, Archbishop Georg Gänswein, the Nuncio to the Baltic States, spoke to Corriere.it about the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X and the Mass in the Roman rite. Key quotes, slightly shortened - The FSSPX has become even more hardline. It's unbelievable - truly sad. - Their understanding of tradition is not tradition. They freeze Catholic tradition at Pius XII. After that, they see nothing but errors. - Benedict XVI lifted the excommunications of the four bishops as a father seeking peace. It was an outstretched hand they refused. The radical faction prevailed—they rejected reconciliation then and still do. - They are like the Protestants of five centuries ago. Cardinal Müller is right. - I am very disappointed. Grace can do anything over time, but for now I see even greater distance and deeper hardening than before. "Leo XIV Should Allow the Traditional Roman Mass" - There are faithful who celebrate the Latin rite—for example, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter—and they do …More
On June 13, two homosexual men celebrated a “Mass of Thanksgiving for 50 Years of Friendship, Partnership, and Commitment in the Pursuit of Justice” at Holy Apostles Church in London, England. About 150 relatives and friends of the hardened sinners attended. The two homosexual men, Julian Filochowski and Martin Pendergast, established the Diocese of Westminster's "pastoral ministry" for homosexuals in 1999. The principal celebrant was Fr. Jim O'Keefe, a longtime "friend" of the homosexuals. The concelebrants were Bishop John Crowley, emeritus of the Diocese of Middlesbrough; Bishop John Rawsthorne, emeritus of the Diocese of Hallam; and Canon Chris Vipers, a priest of Holy Apostles Parish. Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe, OP, delivered the homily. While celebrating homosexuality, he also blasphemed against the Holy Trinity, declaring: "I would add that the Son is the friend and the Spirit is friendship. So every true, faithful, well-lived friendship is a sharing in the life of God." After …More
The Vatican has officially issued a decree of excommunication to the bishops of the SSPX; +Alfonso de Galarreta, +Bernard Fellay, +Pascal Schreiber, +Michael Goldade, +Michel Poinsinet de Sivry, and +Marc Hanappier. As regards the lay faithful, those who formally adhere to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X are to be considered schismatic and excommunicated.
The Vatican's Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith on July 2 issued a decree excommunicating the six bishops of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). The decree also warns clergy and faithful not to adhere to the Fraternity's schism, stating that doing so incurs automatic excommunication. An accompanying explanatory note says that all attempts since Pope Paul VI to reconcile the movement founded by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre with the Catholic Church have failed. The recent episcopal consecrations against the will of Pope Leo XIV, it says, "constituted the offense of schism, with the resulting canonical consequences for the sacred ministers and lay faithful involved." "The sacred ministers belonging to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X are in schism and must therefore be considered schismatics." Lay faithful who formally adhere to the Fraternity are likewise to be considered schismatics and excommunicated. The FSSPX clergy administer "the sacraments illicitly": "The …More
Now more than ever, I will not only continue to attend the Masses celebrated by the Fraternity and receive the Sacraments it administers, but I will substantially increase my involvement.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin told journalists in Rome today that he does not know when or how the excommunications of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) will take place. “Despite this serious wound I hope that we can find ways to resolve this problem.” He also said that he was "deeply pained" by today's episcopal ordinations: "It is a schismatic act."
