150-Page Dossier at the Heart of the Rupnik Case: PerMariam.com has published a timeline of the Marko Rupnik case. One detail stands out: the Jesuits compiled a 150-page dossier documenting alleged abuse by Fr. Marko Rupnik between 1985 and 2018. According to his former Jesuit superior, the credibility of these reported events is "very high."
All ten children of Gertrude Scheerer, a widow, entered religious life. During the episcopal ordination of one of them—Bishop Aloysius Louis Scheerer, O.P., as Bishop of Multan, Pakistan—Pope John XXIII exclaimed in amazement, “One mama?” One of the siblings replied, “Yes, Your Holiness, one mama!” Among the siblings were six priests (five Discalced Carmelites and one Dominican) and three Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine de Ricci.

Wow, domestic church heavenly harvest! "And these are they who are sown upon the good ground, who hear the word, and receive it, and yield fruit, the one thirty, another sixty, and another a hundred." St. Mark 4:20

That's what you call a follower. Always wants to be part of the crowd and fit in. With a weak mind who can't think, for themselves and to avoid problems with them. That's a real pity. The only time you would ever see me following anyone was when I couldn't talk my friends out of something. So I would go to watch over them to try and stop any problems or protecting them. A friend of over 60 years just mentioned that to me last night in an email.
Patrick Buisson, the former adviser to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, named the Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrier as the universal beneficiary of his estate in a will drafted in March 2021, reports LeMonde.fr on July 4. The community follows the traditional Dominican rite. Buisson died on December 26, 2023, at age 74. He bequeathed not only his personal assets but also a substantial collection of political archives, including manuscripts, notebooks, correspondence, digital files and recordings from his years at the Élysée Palace. Archives relating to Sarkozy's presidency - including Buisson's secret recordings made between 2007 and 2012 - are at the center of an ongoing dispute. Buisson's son, Georges, has challenged the will and argues the archives are of public interest and should go to the French National Archives. There is an agreement in principle that the presidential archives will go to the National Archives, but the inheritance litigation continues. Founded in 1979 …Zwiṅwe
Mother Miriam has done a complete 180 on the SSPX: "God has established His Church, his universe, everything on obedience, everything on obedience. Children are to obey their parents, not if their parents are holy and right, in everything but sin. Wives are to submit to their husbands, not because they're holy, not because they're right, but because God has given them that position — again, in everything but sin. Religious are to obey their superiors, whether their superior is right or holier than them, or no matter what it is, they are to obey in everything. And Christ's sheep, which is us, every one of us is to obey the successor of Peter, whether we know for sure he is, whether we agree with him, whether we can point out definite heresy. If he's the Pope, then we obey in everything but sin. We don't come against him. So that's where I left it yesterday, and my heart was completely converted."
Leo XIV Promoted This Hopping, Dancing Bishop in Mexico: In January 2026, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Trinidad Antonio Márquez Guerrero, 60, as auxiliary bishop of San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico. He was consecrated a bishop on May 8. On Sunday, July 19, he celebrated a Eucharist during the diocesan Youth Day in the bullring in Yahualica, attended by some 1,300 young people. Still wearing his mitre and liturgical vestments, he started hopping and dancing around like an overexcited young person.
Y luego nos preguntamos por qué algunos católicos se van con los lefebvristas...
Today, Pope Leo XIV has appointed Lebanese Archbishop Christophe Zakhia El-Kassis, 58, as the Holy See's new Permanent Observer to the United Nations in New York. A Maronite priest and canon lawyer from Beirut, El-Kassis has served in the Vatican's diplomatic corps since 2000. He had spent eleven years (2007–2018) in the Section for Relations with States of the Secretariat of State. Career in Muslim-Majority Countries Francis appointed him Apostolic Nuncio to Pakistan in 2018. In 2023, he became the first resident Apostolic Nuncio to the United Arab Emirates. In 2024, Francis expanded his responsibilities by naming him Nuncio to Yemen and Apostolic Delegate for the Arabian Peninsula. – Folha de S. Paulo, January 12, 1983 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira I revisit the points I discussed in my last article about the position five prominent Brazilian bishops have taken on the legalization of the Brazilian Communist Party. 1. As I see it, four of the five prelates who addressed the issue in Folha de S. Paulo (December 26, 1982) went beyond their authority and essentially supported the creation of a hidden yet harsh centrist dictatorship in Brazil — one disguised as a strange democracy where disagreement would no longer be a right. In such a system, freedom in the secular sphere would be limited to the right — actually, the obligation — to endorse whatever the bishops decide. As emphasized in a previous article, I agree that the PCB should not be given the right to operate. I am convinced that no democracy, nor any of the three legitimate forms of government, can recognize such a right. This is not because communist preaching itself is a serious threat. It is permitted in …Zwiṅwe
James Martin SJ Wants the Church to Ordain [More] Homosexual Priests: Homosexual activist Fr James Martin SJ has called on Pope Leo XIV to remove the – largely unenforced – restrictions against "celibate homosexuals" to become priests. Fr Martin believes that "sexual orientation" alone should not stop a man from being ordained. He points to Pope Francis, who said there are already many "holy, healthy and celibate" homosexual priests. However, in 2005 Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger concluded that men with deep-seated homosexual temptations should not enter the seminary because they lack the emotional maturity needed for lifelong celibacy.
Today, Fr Michael Mary, superior of the sedevacantist Transalpine Redemptorists in Scotland, will be consecrated as an alleged bishop. Katholisch.de traced the long and tangled succession lines of schismatic bishops, focusing primarily on the lines of Marcel Lefebvre (1905-1991) and Pierre Martin Ngô Đình Thục (1897–1984). Here are the key points:. Lefebvre line (FSSPX) Among the different splinter groups, only the SSPX has significant size. In 1988, Lefebvre consecrated Alfonso de Galarreta, Bernard Fellay, Bernard Tissier de Mallerais, and Richard Williamson as bishops. All four later consecrated additional bishops. In 1991, Tissier de Mallerais consecrated Licínio Rangel for the Priestly Union of St. John Mary Vianney, Brazil. Rangel and his community reconciled with Rome in 2002 and became an Apostolic Personal Administration. The same year Fernando Arêas Rifan became Rangel's coadjutor, but he was consecrated by Cardinal Darío Castrillón Hoyos, with Rangel serving only as co-…Zwiṅwe
I used to wonder how the consecration requested by Our Lady of Fatima, in unison with all the Bishops of the world could ever take place since bishops are all over the place with their beliefs. Then I realized as these bishops ascend to heresy, they are no longer bishops so it may end up being some sede, bishops, SSPX and a few good sons of the church left in the NO. There is the manageable number.
"FSSPX Confessions Are Valid" - Müller Contradicts Tucho: On July 6, K-TV asked Cardinal Gerhard Müller whether confessions heard by priests of the Priestly Society of Saint Pius X are valid or invalid. Contrary to Cardinal Tucho Fernández, he replied: "The confessions are valid, but illicit. The power to forgive or retain sins is conferred through the sacrament of Holy Orders. Its exercise can only be restricted by the bishop or the Pope, as provided by canon law."
Every 29 June, within St Peter’s Basilica, one of the most striking Catholic traditions returns. The vesting of the statue of Saint Peter, including the cope and the tiara.
Bishop Defends Football Screening in Church: Bishop Jean-Louis de Metz-Noblat of Verdun, France, defended in a July 1 video the decision to broadcast the France–Norway football match inside the church of Ligny-en-Barrois. "There were undoubtedly a few cheers, a song of celebration, and some applause, just as happens when a concert is held in a church or when an exhibition takes place in a church. Some people have said to me, 'But a church is a place for prayer.' I dare to hope that, because they were in the church, a number of people were able to pray for the success of their favorite team. I also dare to hope that, by entering a church, some of them discovered a place where perhaps they had never set foot before."
"Rien d'injurieux" : Après la diffusion de France-Norvège dans l’église de Ligny-en-Barrois, l'évéque de Verdun persiste et signe - Dans une vidéo de plus de trois minutes , Monseigneur de Metz-Noblat assume pleinement cette décision et entreprend d'en démontrer le bien-fondé, allant jusqu'à manier une certaine ironie à l'égard des fidèles scandalisés
I can only imagine the "best" view was provided by projecting these images onto the stage -- I mean: sanctuary. "when a concert is held in a church or when an exhibition takes place in a church." Your Excellency, I think that we have found the problem.
